1921 Baldwin Concert Grand

When this piano arrived in our shop in the fall of 2008, very, very tired would be an accurate description of this magnificent old Baldwin Concert Grand. It had been sitting unused in a Memphis area church and was dried out badly. The action was gone, the pin block unusable, the soundboard, bridges beyond repair, and the finish very worn. After further allowing the piano to dry out, we began by applying epoxy to the rim so as to shore up the foundation. From there, we made new legs, new music desk, and completely rebuilt the other case parts. As you can see, we are just about ready to deliver this beautiful sounding piano back to it's owner |
